11/30 Stampin' Up! Daring Adventure

I needed some playtime . . . no Christmas today! I'm excited that demonstrators get to order from the Spring Mini tomorrow . . . one of the many fun perks of being a demo. I have a little clean up to do today from three sessions of card buffet over the last two days and then I think I will spend the afternoon reading. I am rereading all the Edward Rutherford books that I own. Currently on Forest after finishing Sarum and London earlier this fall.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by my blog today!!

Somehow, it went through the Big Shot Machine crookedly and one of the corners is completely mashed. It still works all right, but looks terrible!

This is one of those cards that really, really…

11/23 Brrrr . . . . Stampin' Up! Frosty Friends!

It's a white world out of my Minnesota window this morning and I type this in a rush as everyone but me is running around getting ready to go to the cabin!! So, since I really don't have time to stamp today, I'm going to share a card today by one of my downline, Cindy Standal. She made this card for a swap this fall and I've had it on display ever since.

I love how Cindy used scrap strips of Be Of Good Cheer DSP (which is on SALE right now via our Online Extravaganza!) She also used the framelit Christmas Tree from the Holiday Collection framelit set. I love the extra texture she gave the tree with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. But, the best part of this card (in my opinion, at least!) is that the snow people are holding snowballs that have been accented with our basic pearls!! So, so cute!!

11/22 Happy Thanksgiving!

I started off my Thanksgiving weekend yesterday when I picked up the mail and discovered this lovely card from Sherri, one of my customers. It's just a thrill to get a little handstamped something in the mail and it's still making me smile. Thank you, Sherri!!

Today, I'm going to be enjoying the day with all the relatives. We usually deep fly two turkeys and my sister-in-law, Siri, said she would make my favorite side dish ... Brussel Sprouts with Almonds and Apricots. My daughters and I made a Triple Batch of Cheesy Wild Rice Soup and three Pumpkin Pie Cheesecakes. I hope your day is full of good food and the blessings of being with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving!

11/21 Stampin' Up! Sparkling Merry Minis

One of my favorite products that Stampin' Up! sells is our wonderful sparkling Glimmer Paper in Red, Silver and Champagne. I wish you could see this card in person . . . and in the sun!! It's just G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!

I used Glossy White for the 1 1/4" squares which also catch the light for a bit more shine. The sentiment from Seasonal Sayings is stamped with VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder. To keep the circles nice and flush, I punched the designs out of scraps first with the Merry Minis punch pack from the 2012 Holiday Mini Catalog. Then, I centered a 1" Circle Punched over the cut out and punched my circle. I mixed it all up but putting different colors into different punch outs and then glued them onto the glossy squares.

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!! I appreciate you!

11/20 Stampin' Up! Circle Circus in a Paper Daisy

Who knew that Pool Party and Summer Starfruit would be such a pretty and fresh match! Certainly not me! I happened to be browsing a magazine and saw an ad with these colors that led to this lovely color combination. It's a quick and simple card with a little bit of pop and I plan to use it in my December and January Card Buffets.

I used a large Paper Daisy adhered with a dimensional to my card. I stamped one of the funky, fun circles from Circle Circus twice. . . once tone on tone onto Pool Party and the second time onto Glossy White. The first punch out is with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to grab the center portion of the scallop circle image. Then, I used a 3/4" punch to punch out the center from the image stamped on the glossy. I layered it all together and topped it off with an In Color Dahlia embellishment.

The inside of the card was created as follows . . . I used the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch to create the scallop ring. (The center part had already been punch…

11/19 Stampin' Up! Watercolor Winter

One of the nicest tools that I own is a Big Shot Machine. Just look at all the Big Shot fun I had putting together this elegant card! I used the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder to make the mat layer on my card. Then, Apothecary Accents Framelits came into play when I used Brushed Gold paper for the base cut out piece. I stretched this piece out by cutting down the center of the die cut and mounting it to my card with the points flush to the edges. Next, my Labels Collection Framelit Dies came into play. I used River Rock paper for one of the layers (which also matches my card base) and I paper pierced it with the Festive Paper Piercing Pack from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The Very Vanilla layer is stamped with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and pine images come from the stamp set called Watercolor Winter.

The Big Shot is on sale today, a one day only special as part of our Online Extravaganza. I think it is the best investment I have ever made . . . it's taken my card making to…

11/18 Demo Meeting Swap Cards Part Two of Scrippy Scraps

Here is the second installment of our Scrippy Scraps Swap Theme for our November Stamping to Share Demo Meeting. Enjoy!

Rachel Peulen created this silver embossed beauty! I love the tri-panel image . . . reminds me of the picture windows in the living room where I grew up. Her sentiment is from Loving Thoughts.

This card uses Comfort Cafe scraps in a pinwheel design created by Chris Glebus. I think pinwheels are a great way to use up scraps! The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Marsy Smallidge used little scrippy strips to make this Herringbone design on her swap card. It's a wow!! She used scraps from the paper pack called Floral District. The flower is from Printed Petals and Mixed Bunch.

Mary didn't forget the inside of this card either! Love the scrippy scrappy touches! The sentiment is from You're Amazing.

Sue McNeill created this cute card with paper scraps layered behind a tree shape that she cut into the card with the Holiday Collection Framelits set. I love th…

11/17 Demo Meeting Swap Cards Part One of Scrippy Scraps

Our November Stamping to Share Demo meetings are always lots of fun. We feature a swap theme almost every month and this month our focus was on using all those little scrippy scraps that we keep. I hope you enjoy all these scrippy scrappy ideas!

Debby Filiowich told me that in addition to scrippy scrappy pieces of paper, she keeps scrippy scrappy ribbon pieces, too! She cased a card by Sandie Conner that helped her use bits of ribbon scraps. Love this cute, seasonal idea that turns the owl punch into a turkey!

Barb Manship was inspired to turn her scraps into a beautiful window. Punched out items lend themselves well to scrips and scraps.

Grace Balfanz, who gave us the idea for this swap theme, used strips on her elegant card. I love the white on white embossing that she did on her card base with a stamp from Bordering on Romance.

Chris Kienbaum glued scraps down and then punched them out with her mitten punch! I love this idea! She said it reminded her of the days when her mom sent h…
