4/30 Stampin' Up! Mixed Bunch by Elizabeth

One of my dear customers, Elizabeth Schwerm, shared this very fun card with us at our last Stamping to Share Card Buffet. Isn't it great? So many bright and cheerful colors. Makes me really wish we had Green Galore back in our product line for summer projects like this one. (Maybe the new In-Colors? I've heard some hints about some fun colors that will be introduced soon!!)

Today is the last day to get this awesome stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog. We don't know "for sure" if it will make the new catalog, but I'm really wishing and hoping! Love that set!! Elizabeth's card is 5 1/2" square. It's a fun size and you can create a customized envelope to go with it now that we have our Simply Scored Diagonal Plate that works hand in hand with our Simply Scored Tool.

4/29 Stampin' Up! Mixed Bunch Wedding or Anniversary Card

I love the stamp set called "Mixed Bunch" featured in our Occasions Mini catalog. I just can hardly belive that catalog is almost to its end! The last days to order from it are just today and tomorrow! Can April 30 really be tomorrow? Wow . . . talk about time flying! But, I have my fingers and toes crossed that the stamp set Mixed Bunch and the coordinating Blossom Punch will make it into the New Catalog that debuts on June 1.

I cased this card with a few modifications from my friend Chat Wszelaki. My customers enjoyed making this card at my March and April card buffets.  They had a choice of sentiments as not only does it make a great wedding card, but many of my customers chose to make it as an anniversary option. I love that about the stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes . . . everybody gets to customize their wishes and with 24 wishes to choose from it's a win-win for everyone!

4/28 Stampin' Up! Bright Blossoms Center Step Fold Card

Early this month I had a "Five Fabulous Cards Class" and this Center Step Fold Card was one of the cards that my customers got to make. It was my first time to create a card like this and I did oops up a number of times trying to get it right. I think I finally have it down now after doing all the prep work for my customers! I meant to create a video. . . but honestly I've been too busy to make it so I decided to share the card without a matching video. Maybe down the road a bit when things aren't quite so hectic around here!

The stamp set is called Bright Blossoms, part of the Summer Smooches Sneak Peek. You have until April 30 to get the designer paper and the stamp set and then you'll have to wait until the new catalog comes out. The sentiments are from the Loving Thoughts set in the Occasions Mini, also coming to a close on April 30.

This is a side view of the Center Step Fold. Pretty neat, huh? I made the card so that it would fit into our Stampin' Up! …

4/27 Stampin' Up! 12x12 Daring Adventure Pages

These 12x12 pages use the stamp set called "Daring Adventure." They will be the second set of pages that my customers will create in May at my Open Scrapbook Club. (Details HERE.) I was inspired by a set of pages created by Denise Cox over at Stampin' Connection, our demo only website for ideas and inspiration. It will be so easy for my customers to make these pages because all it takes is 4 "3x12" strips of paper from the Well Worn Designer Series Paper pack. That also means that each set of pages will look a little different depending on which strips each customer gets. Two of the strips are glued down as is and the other two strips are torn in half lengthwise and adhered as shown. LOVE the torn edges!

Here is a close up that shows the embosslit called Live Every Moment. It's only available while supplies last on the retiring accessories list. Same for the stars which are die cut from the Stars #2 die. Hmmm... and two more items I just realized are also…

4/26 Stampin' Up! 12x12 Prom or Special Event Pages

This set of 12x12 scrapbook pages will be what my customers get to make at my Open Scrapbook Club in May. Click HERE if you would like more details about joining us.

I was inspired by a set of pages that my good friend Rachel Tessman created. Her pages were a little more vintage using First Edition DSP, Very Vanilla and shades of red, but I took the general layout that she had and recreated it with a striking combination of blue, white and black. I also added some Silver Glimmer paper which really adds bling - perfect for prom pictures or other special events. This layout is so easy to recreate and you could use whatever colors work well with your event.

The flowers are made with the Fun Flowers Die and at the very center of the flower you see a silver piece punched with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. The leaves in Old Olive are punched with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch.

4/25 Retiring Accessories List has Posted!

The Retiring Accessories List has posted and it's long, long, long!! You can see the PDF for it by clicking HERE. You will notice that there is quite a nice grouping of discounted items!! Since all of the decor elements items are retiring, Stampin' Up! has made a separate listing for them HERE.

All of the items on the retiring accessories lists are available only on a first come first served basis. If your wish list includes retiring accessories . . . I would NOT wait until the middle of May to place that order. Once the accessory listed is gone, it's gone!

A note about the ink pads. Stampin' Up! is not changing colors. They are bringing us a firm foam pad for our classic ink pads that will enable them to last even longer and provide better ink coverage. I'm really excited about that change!! Yeah, SU!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by today!

4/24 Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering Post Cards

I wanted to make a set of vintage type postcards and thought it would be fun to use the Mini Occasions set called Mouthwatering in a vintage kind of way. I used Whisper White textured card stock . . . I love the way that looks when it is stamped with a bold image. The cherries are stamped with Always Artichoke and there is lots of sponging going on. I would not actually mail these post cards as is just in case the layers would cause problems so I coordinated envelopes with additional sponging and strips of designer series paper.

Here's another picture . . . unfortunately, the camera makes the card look "brighter" than it does in real life. I wish you could actually "see" these post cards . . . much more vintagey than on screen!

Stamping to Share Tip of the Day . . . use a bold image and stamp it on textured card stock. It gives that image a whole new look and feel.

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!!

4/23 Stampin' Up! Party This Way

I'm a "Johnny Come Lately" to this stamp set. Why I waited so long, I have no idea! I actually earned it at Convention for sales or recruiting and then it sat on my shelf for a year . . . and then I waited almost another year before I decided to give it a try. Sale-a-bration 2012 was my kick in the you know what as it was one of the reward items that my customers could receive with a $50 purchase and I hadn't used it yet! Of course, now I like it . . . just as it goes onto the 2012 Retirement List. Whaa.

The thing I like the most about it is that the images in on the balloon stamp are a whole bunch of numbers . . . which coordinate perfectly with the number sentiment in the stamp set called Bring On the Cake. I wish I would have see the coordination of these stamp sets a long time ago, I'm sure if I had, I would have used it a lot more.

This is a picture of the inside sentiment. See how it coordinates with the balloons? So cool! When it's time to give this c…

4/22 Stampin' Up! Bright Blossoms

This is another card I received in the mail from Cherie Manderschied, my fifth level up line for being in her Top Twenty Sales in March. It's a really neat card in that it opens about 2/3 of the way down . . . just under the flowers layer . . . similar to the way the card opened that I showed you yesterday. I had to tape this was down a bit for the picture as I couldn't get it to close far enough to show off the front of the card properly. The stamped flower images and the DSP is from the Summer Smooches line - our April Sneak Peek into the upcoming new catalog. The dots along the bottom portion of the card are from a soon to be retired stamp set called Borderlines.

Have a happy day and thanks so much for stopping by my Stamping to Share blog!

4/21 Stampin' Up! Sweet Cake

One of my up, up lines in Stampin' Up! is Cherie Manderschied. Actually I think I am in her fifth level! Cherie is so sweet and I always enjoy our visits when we bump into each other at SU events. One thing that I REALLY appreciate about Cherie is that she sends me cards!! When you rank as one of the Top Twenty Demonstrators for sales in her down line in any given month, you can count on her to send you a hand-stamped card. This is the card I received in February for January sales. I love to get cards from Cherie and I will share another with you tomorrow that uses our Summer Smooches product suite.

4/20 Stampin' Up! Perfect Punches & Word Play Graduation Card

It's graduation time and my customers are clamouring for ideas! Yikes . . . without an official graduation set in the current SU line, I'm forced to be creative! NOT! I found my inspiration from Stampin' Connection, a demo only website. The card I am showing you today was inspired by LeeAnn Greff. We will be making this card at all three Sunshine Clubs coming up in May. I like how easy it was to put together . . . but still very classy! Click HERE if you are interested in attending one of my Sunshine Clubs.

And . . . SU has a set called Word Play with the perfect message for our grads so the inside panel of the grad card was a snap!

Have a great day and I appreciate the fact that you took the time to drop by Stamping to Share!

4/19 Stampin' Up! Gnome Sweet Gnome

This is the last month of our Occasions Mini catalog and it could be your last chance to pick up something cute in a Gnome Kind of Way! We never know what will carry over into the new catalog from the Mini's and I can't tell you how many times I regretted as a customer and even sometimes as a demo when I didn't get a set from a mini in hopes that it would carry over. I don't make that mistake anymore! This cute set called Gnome Sweet Gnome has quite a fan base. You either LOVE him or NOT! I not only got THIS set, but I also got the corresponding word set called Gnomenclature to go with it. If Gnome Sweet Gnome ends up being retired . . . he doesn't have to worry with me. I will keep him!!

Have a great day and thank you for dropping by my Stamping to Share blog!

4/18 Stampin' Up! Bright Blossoms with Loving Thoughts Telescope Card

This is one of the cards that my customers got to make at a recent class. It's a Telescope Card. It's my first time to make one . . . but I've seen lots of examples of them before. They are actually pretty quick and easy to make . . . especially with the Big Shot Machine! This particular one showcases the stamp set called Bright Blossoms from the Summer Smooches Collection. The sentiments are from the Occasions Mini Catalog and belong to the Loving Thoughts stamp set.

This is the next view of the card . . . again a cute little flower from the Bright Blossoms set. And just look at how pretty that Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper is!! Wow! This green print is probably my favorite piece. I just love that burst of limeade color!

And finally, this photo shows the card completely opened up with another sweet flower from the Bright Blossoms set. What the photos do not show . . . and that I should probably mention is that I backed the circle of DSP with a circle of Lucky Li…

4/17 Making Bookmarks at the Rice Lake Elementary School Carnival

Rice Lake Elementary School held its annual carnival this past weekend. I have always donated a basket of crafting supplies to their Silent Auction and this year I asked if in addition to the Silent Auction gift, would they like to have my daughter and I help the kids with a bookmark craft. Above you can see some of the creativity by the kids. They picked their paper colors and did the stamping and Big Shot rolling. Kasey and I did their punching for them. We had a very nice afternoon creating and crafting with the kids and visiting with the parents.

Here is a picture of Kasey and I at our station. These little boys were quite talented with the stampin' part of it! Turns out their mom was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!!

4/16 Stampin' Up! Perfectly Penned Smooch Spritz with Quick Tip Video

I recently made quite a few Smooch Spritz cards featuring the stencil from our Summer Smooches April Promotion. You can see that post and video HERE. Please remember . . . the Summer Smooches stencil will NOT carry over into the new catalog so it is an April 2012 opportunity only. Well, getting back to those Smooch Spritz cards! I discovered that once I had the cards all made, I was a little disappointed that my edges were curling up just a bit. I found a way to solve that problem by running my completed card (ribbon and all!) through the Big Shot machine! Now I like the card even better than before as the Square Lattice embossing folder gives it fabulous, touchable texture! I did a quick how to video for you if you have questions about this process.
