7/30 Stampin' Up! Daydream Medallions Stationery Holder with How To Video

This is the stationery holder that my hostesses made at Hostess Appreciation Day. (They loved it!) And, it's also what I gave to my roommates and downline attending Convention this year. (They loved it, too!)

This elegant folder is designed to fit a half pack of the English Ivy Simple Sentiments. I was inspired by the picture on page 147 of the 2012-13 Stampin' Up! Catalog. The front of the folder features the Daydream Medallions set. I had a personalized monogram stamp created for myself (also on page 147), but my customers used the Broadsheet Alphabet stamp to personalize their holders with monograms.

A full view of the inside of the stationery holder.

The left hand side features envelopes made with the Scallop Envelope Die. It's a good place to store stamps and return address labels.

The right hand side holds the stationery. It's stamped with the bird and swirl from the stamp set called Everything Eleanor. I just love the color combination of Crumb Cake, Summer Starfruit and Soft Suede . . . just makes me "happy!" And, the ribbon from this years' In Colors is a dream to work with.

I decided to make a video to show you how to make this holder . . . it even has measurements!!

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Stamps: Daydream Medallions (WM 126465, CM 126467), Everything Eleanor (WM 124162, CM 124164), Monogram Stamp (126565) or Broadsheet Alphabet (WM 118724, CM 120585)

7/27 Stampin' Up! Daydream Medallions

One of my favorite stamp sets in our new catalog is called Daydream Medallions and it has a coordinating set of framelits which makes it all the more fun to play with! The card pictured above is what I made for one of the organized swaps that I participated in at Convention. I like to think of the medallions on these two cards as "Snow Flowers."

Here is another version I made when I was playing around with this new stamp set and its coordinating set of framelits.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps: Daydream Medallions (WM 126465, CM 126467), Delightful Dozen sentiment on the first card (WM 122650, CM 122652), Embellished Events sentiment on the second card (WM 126495, CM 126497)
Paper: Basic Gray (121044), Shimmery White (101910)
Ink: Basic Gray (126981)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Floral Framelits (127012), Northern Flurry Folder (120902)
Accessories: Basic Gray 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon on the first card (126879), Whisper White Organza Ribbon on the second card (114319), Basic Rhinestones (119246), Basic Pearls (119247)

7/26 Stampin' Up! Raining Flowers

These are the cards I created for swapping at Stampin' Up!'s 2012 Convention. I used the stamp set we got free at Convention last year called Raining Flowers. These cards have been a hit with my customers and they are the perfect make and take for newer stampers. The one above is Rich Razzleberry.

And this one uses the new in color called Raspberry Ripple. The little dots are created by using a coordinating marker in the Color Spritzer Tool.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Stamps: Raining Flowers (WM 122765, CM 122767), Perfect Punches (WM 117022, CM 120510)
Paper: Sahara Sand (121043), Rich Razzleberry (115316), Whisper White (100730)
Ink: Sahara Sand (126976), Rich Razzleberry (126950)
Tools: Color Spritzer Tool (107066), Scallop Border Punch (119882), Extra Large Oval Punch (119859)
Accessories: Rich Razzleberry Marker (120970), 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126876)

7/25 Stampin' Up 12x12 Summer Scrapbook Pages

One of the swaps at Convention that participated in this year was one for 12x12 pages. I was so excited about this one because it takes quite a bit of time to come up with ideas for my pages each month and it will be nice to have several on hand to choose from.

My contribution to the swap was a set of summery pages showcasing designer series paper from the pack called Floral District. Each page features a garden flag and scalloped banners. The banners were easy to make. Just use your 1 3/8" circle punch and punch the circles right out of the DSP, then cut in half.

Here's a close up of one of the garden flags. I used the stamp set called Betsy's Blossom. Skinny strips of Silver Glimmer paper and couple of well placed rhinestones added just the right amount of "bling" to my pages.

I personalized each page with the initial of the last name of each person participating in the swap. For most of the letters, I used Broadsheet Alphabet . . . but the "R" turned out to be a little too big for the Apothecary Accents framelit die I was using on the "flag." In that one particular case, I used an "R" from Lovely Letters Alphabet and that looked nice, too.

Stamping to Share Tip of the Day: This picture shows a little trick to make it look like you used a whole panel of DSP . . . but actually, you are only using strips 3/4" wide around the border. When you add the next layer or the photo, it looks like you have a full sheet of DSP below. You can see how I used this idea at the bottom of the left hand page.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate you and I enjoy receiving your comments and emails about my posts - they make my day!! Thanks!!

Stamps: Betsy's Blossoms (WM 126004, CM 126006), Broadsheet Alphabet (WM 118724, CM 120585), or Lovely Letters Alphabet (WM 115030, CM 127796)
Paper: 12x12 Rich Razzleberry (124292), So Saffron (105118), Lucky Limeade (122926), Soft Suede (115318), Whisper White (100730), Floral District DSP (126919), Silver Glimmer Paper (124005)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry (126950), Lucky Limeade (126984)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003), Tasteful Trim Die (120893), Extended Cutting Pads (113478), 1 3/8" Circle Punch (119860), Paper Piercing Tool to place the Rhinestones (126189)
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones (119246)
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), SNAIL (104332)

One of the swaps I was in at Convention last week used this card. It's a quick and easy Christmas card. The focal point is the wreath that I created using the Big Shot and the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlit Die. If you are interested . . . I've created a video that takes you through the how to's on this card.

7/23 Convention Awards Night

Before I get back to my normal blogging ways of sharing the usual pictures of the projects that I am working on, I wanted to share a few more pictures with you from Convention 2012. This is Awards Night and a picture of our whole group. L to R: Karen Lockner, little Charlea, Angie Lunden, myself, Mary Kiley and Mary Smallidge.

Charlea had a cute little onesie on. The front of it said, "My Mom is" and you can see what the back said! Charlea was a good little baby at Convention and we were happy to her with us!

Angie is recognized as a Rising Star! I feel bad that I didn't get a good picture of ALL the Rising Stars ... it's hard when you only have a few seconds to "snap it!"

This is a picture of all the little pudding cups that had for us at the After Party. I know there was a better, more fancy name for them, but I can't remember what it was. They were cute and really yummy!

When I got back to the hotel that night, I was able to take a good picture of the Founder's Circle Bag I received at Awards Night. It's really nice and came in very handy on the way home from Convention to carry home some of the treasures I got at Memento Mall!

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

7/18 Convention 2012 Begins!

Here we are at Convention 2012! This is me and my downline, Angie Lunden. It's Angie's first time to Convention and we are in the Awards line.

Angie is told she has a "letter!" Look at that happy face . . . and notice the very pretty bag? That's our Convention bag this year. We all just LOVE it! So fashionable!!

It's the good news! Angie is confirmed as a Rising Star for 2012!! Here we are looking her letter over. We are both so happy!!

I got two letters. This one was in recognition of the Achiever's Bonus!! I wasn't really sure what the other one was for. As usual, I was being "blonde" and not really getting it!

Here we are holding our letters. I was still in the "clueless mode."

And, the lights go on! I just figured it out . . . I'm going to Founder's Circle!!!

Here are my letters and awards . . . I'm finally putting it all together and it occurs to me that I have the greatest, most awesome team under the sun!! Thank YOU to all the women in my group of Creative Crafters' Stamping to Share!! You make my heart sing!

I can't wait to tell my group . . . here I am putting it on my Yahoo Group and texting the news to my family.

My room mate, Mary Kiley, found her cross card on one of the SU display boards. She was also my main picture taker today! Thanks, Mary!

This is Karen Lockner, Angie's mom, working on some Make and Takes. The M&T's were AMAZING!!

This is Mary Smallidge, my other room mate here at Convention. We went out for supper and had a wonderful time. Mary talked the waitress into bringing her a 1/2 Pina Colada and 1/2 Strawberry Daiquiri!! It looked delicious!!

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping in at Stamping to Share!!!

7/17 Demo Meeting Swap Part Three

This is the last and final installment of swaps from our July Demo meeting. I hope you have enjoyed seeing them!

New demonstrator, Jan Gunderson, used an elegant combination of Navy Blue with embossed Vellum Card Stock to create this special occasion card. She embossed the card stock vellum with the Manhattan Flower Folder and the butterfly is from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.

Dorene Bye used the leaf stamp from Summer Silhouettes and jazzed it up with a couple of BoHo Blossom Punches. She used an angled Label framelit piece and the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners.
The Daffodil Delight Background was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.

This card was created by Karen Larson. She used the butterfly from Papillon Potpourri and the sentiment from Fabulous Phrases. She made a lovely medallion using a die cut from Perfect Pennants and a punch out of a piece of Whisper White that was embossed with the Fancy Fan folder. I like the extra touch of the edging she did with the Adorning Accent Edgelit Die.

Cindy LeMire created this fun birthday card with Comfort Cafe DSP and the stamp set called Happy Hour. LOVE the little olive off to the side of the glass! She used an Adorning Accents Embossing Folder to make the indented hearts and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for the Crumb Cake Panel. Love the sweet lace bow tied up with a bit of baker's twine and accented with an In Color Dahlia.

Liz Michels, another new demonstrator, made this darling card for us to recreate. The Patio Party DSP makes such a GREAT background. The stamp set is from Make a Cake and the sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

Chris Glebus made this elegant thank you card with the stamp set called Blooming with Kindness. She embossed the white panel with the Framed Tulips folder. I love that this set makes such quick and easy and elegant cards!

Sue McNeill is showing off the Four Seasons Hostess Set with this lovely card that also features the Comfort Cafe DSP. She cut off about an inch off the front panel to let the DSP from inside panel show through.

This is the inside panel of the card. Love the sweet butterfly in the corner.

Mary Kiley had us create the card that she made for one of her Convention Swaps. What a great manly card! She used the new set called Harvest Blessings. The pointy scallops are created by cutting out a regular scallop circle with a Big Shot Machine, and then, running the die through again except turned just enough to cut each scallop into a point. In the background, you can see the background stamp called Tool Shed . . . perfect with the theme of this card!

Katherine Narog's card was cased from our latest catalog using the set called Stippled Blossoms. She stamped them on a Label Framelit cut out. The thank you sentiment is from Perfectly Penned. I love how she used the new Delicate Designs Embossing Folder to create the textured panel at the top of the Subtles Pattered Paper.

I am glad you stopped by today . . . thank you and have a great day!

7/16 Demo Meeting Swaps Part Two

Here is part two of the three parts to our demo meeting swaps . . . Enjoy!

Katherne Narog, casing Terry Blais, provided this very fun and cute card for us that uses the new stamp set called Blast Off. Perfect for kids who like Outer Space. The designer paper is from our Summer Smooches pack . . . bet you wouldn't have guessed that, huh? It's truly a versitile set of papers to say the least!

Irene Boesen made this darling Christmas card for our Demo Swap. I just love those sweet mittens from the new set called Chock-Full of Cheer which coordinates with the Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper. Our new in-color called Gumball Green is going to be a great Christmas green and I love the way it looks with Cherry Cobbler.

Monika Palider mad the sweet card with the new set called Cottage Window. This window looks out onto a meadow with butterflies! She used the Embosslit called Beautiful Wings for all the butterfly accents and made her wall with the stripes embossing folder.

Mary Smallidge fell in love with this Halloween set, brand new in our catalog called "Ticky Treats." The name makes me smile and every single stamp in the set coordinates with a punch. Gotto LOVE that!! Her background panel is embossed with the Spider Web Folder.

Cathy Hobbs used the new butterfly stamp set with the coordinating punch to create this card. The stamp set is called Papillon Potpourri. I think I will need some coaching on how to pronounce that! lol! Not so French! The little frame that you see stamped with Happy Birthday comes from the Four Frames set.

Lynn Lehrman, attending as a guest, created this beautiful clean and simple card for us to make. She used the new stamp set called Serene Silhouettes and each flower is accented with a tiny pearl. The sentiment comes from the set called Elements of Style and it's all framed by a Big Shot Folder called Framed Tulips.

Laura Erickson used the Adorning Accents Folder at the base of one of her card panels and stamped the flower from the set called Blooming with Kindness. I love the contrast of the Whisper White with the Regal Rose and Always Artichoke on this card.

Linda Watson used the set called Serene Silhouettes with the Woodgrain Background stamp and a sentiment from Word Play for this beautiful card! I love the colors and the Crumb Cake Seam Binding that she used to make the bow.

Cindy Standal's baby card which she said was inspired by work she'd seen on our demo only website, Stampin' Connection, was made with the set called Baby Prints. The butterfly is from the Hostess Set called Four Seasons. "Sweet Baby" comes from Itty Bitty Banners. The die cut that is used on this card is from the Apothecary Accents framelit collection and the Soft Suede panel was embossed with the new Fancy Fan folder.

Dawn Michels created this pretty birthday card using a couple of different stamp sets . . . all of which just debuted in our new catalog. The frame is from Papaya Collage, the birthday seniment is from Memorable Moments and the butterfies come from the set called Make a Cake. Holding it all together is an embossed panel made with the Designer Frames folder. It's nice to know that the rectangular Designer Frame fits into the Papaya Frame perfectly . . . opening up a lot of possibilities for that combination!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Happy Stamping to Share!
