9/28 How to Make Bows & Tie-Ons . . . a Video Tutorial

Whoa . . . I've gotten a few emails! lol!
In my last video, I proclaimed myself to be a professional bow tier. Just me talking again . . . please take my words with a grain of salt! (All my friends who know me well do just that!) The truth is . . . I'm just quicker! Practice, practice, practice . . . that's probably the only difference between us! Well, today my video is about stick on bows (the only kind I do) and tie-ons.

This is a big pile of bows . . . (128 to be exact) that I tied off in record time. It took me less than an hour and I was chatting with my husband the whole while as we drove up to our cabin in WI. I had hoped to get as far as Danbury to keep me occupied, but I was all done by Hinkley! I just hate not having something to do while I'm riding shotgun so I was a little sad that I got it done so quickly.

If you keep up with the specials going on at Stampin' Up!, you will know that September is our "Back to Spool" month. I can't hardl…

9/26 Stampin' Up! Delicate Doilies Designer Rosette Christmas Ornament

This beautiful Delicate Doilies Designer Rosette Christmas Ornament will make a lovely Christmas gift for family and friends. I saw a similar one at Stampin' Connection, our demo only website, by Shari Fritz. I changed the colors and did my bow hanger a bit differently. I just love this ornament. I taught my downline how to make it a recent demo meeting and today I'm sharing a video so you can see how to make it, too!

Here's a close up view of this lovely ornament! I hope you enjoy the video!

Our "Back to Spool" special is coming to an end on September 30. If you have at least $40 on your wish list, you might consider placing a SU order before the end of the month. 9/25 Stampin' Up! Googly Ghouls Halloween Rosettes with Video How To

I had a ball making these Halloween Rosettes with my Big Shot Machine, my Designer Rosette Die and the Googly Ghouls set from the 2012 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. I put my decorated rosettes on ribbon and then hung them on my china cabinet for a little seasonal cheer. Below you can see the up close pictures.

And here are the other three on the other door of the cabinet along with their up close pictures.

I've been getting a lot of feedback about my videos lately . . . apparently you like them!! Thank you! You've also told me that you'd like more of them!! So, even what I think is easy . . . you might still like to see in video? I've heard the answer is YES!! So, I will try to turn over a new leaf in my business and give you more videos.

Thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share today and enjoy the video!!

9/24 Stampin' Up! Gently Falling

Last week I had a stamping session with my downline and shared how to sponge and how to prevent "cracking" with the Woodgrain embossing folder. If you haven't already watched it . . . you can check out that "no cracking" video HERE. Anyway, I was putting a few thing away in my office this morning, I came across those scraps and thought I would make a quick card with them.

I added a few leaves created with the Autumn Accents Die found on page 33 of the Holiday Mini that were embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing folder which is on page 6 of the Holiday Mini. The sentiment is from Tiny Tags. A little bitty bow and the card was done!

I had one panel of card stock that had the "cracking" in it so I just cut that part away and used the good part on the inside panel of my card. I always like to do a "little something" on the inside of my cards and this worked out perfectly.

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Sha…

9/23 Stampin' Up! Embellished Events

I just love the Designer Series Paper called Be of Good Cheer. It has a great color combination of Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. I made this card is just a few minutes using the stamp set called Embellished Events. The cozy cording is our 1/4" Sweater Trim found on page 11 of the 2012 Holiday Mini. I stacked a couple of dimensionals to raise the image high enough to fit over the top of the sweater trim.

The inside of the card is quick and simple but very eye catching thanks again to the dsp called Be of Good Cheer!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by Stamping to Share!

9/21 Stampin' Up! Mixed Medley Christmas

When I was little, I remember a few years where my mom decorated our family Christmas tree with blue and white lights. I loved it and to this day, I've always associated blue and white with Christmas . . . not to mention that blue is also my favorite color! I decided to create a Christmas card using blue along with the hostess set called Mixed Medley.

Mixed Medley can be found on page 39 in Holiday Catalog. If you want to purchase it, you will have to place a qualifying hostess order, or pull a party together and be a hostess for your demonstrator. One of the things that I like best about this stamp set is that all of the stamps are sized to work with either the new 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch or the 3/4" Circle Punch. It's a mixed medley because in this one set there are stamps for Halloween, Valentine, Christmas, Friendship and All Occasion.

Have a great day, a lovely weekend and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

9/20 Stampin' Up! Woodgrain Embossing Folder Tip to Prevent "Cracking!"

Linda Heller and I were chatting at Founder's Circle last week and we happened to be talking about the woodgrain embossing folder because we noticed that some of the swaps using the Woodgrain Emobossing Folder had quite a bit of cracking in the paper. I mentioned to her that even with "no tabs" I still had occasional cracking and she shared a tip with me that I want to pass on to you.

All your cracking issues will be solved when you place a card stock vellum panel inside your folder. You can adhere it with SNAIL and keep it there permanently. It works GREAT!! Check out the video to see before and after pictures.

Thank you soooo much, Linda, for sharing your GREAT tip!!

Have a great day! I appreciate you and I am happy that you stopped by to see what's new at Stamping to Share.

9/19 Stampin' Up! Ornament Keepsakes

This bright and pretty Christmas card uses the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set along with a sentiment from the stamp set called Curly Cute. I love using the coordinating Holiday Ornaments Framelit set to cut out the ornaments absolutely perfectly! There are quite a few Big Shot happenings on this card in addition to the ornament . . . the Paper Doily Large Sizzlit cut out, the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and the Argyle Embossing Folder.

I used the teeny tiny pearls from our Basics Pearls package to accent the ornament along with a bow from White Baker's Twine.

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by my Stamping to Share blog!

9/18 Favorites from Founder's Circle

One of the cards that I received at Founder's Circle caught my eye almost immediately . . . it used the SU Elegant Bird die like a stencil and Gold Glow Smooch Spritz made it shimmer and shine. The bold leaf image from Gently Falling is first stamped with Island Indigo and then the outline is stamped over it and embossed with gold embossing powder. A little spritzing with the Color Spritzer Tool and the Island Indigo marker complete the look on the Naturals Ivory paper. Just gorgeous!! Turns out, this card was made by Shelli Gardner and Sara Douglas!! It's fitting that it's my favorite!

In addition to sharing the card that Shelli Gardner and Sara Douglas created for Founder's Circle, I decided I would pick five favorite cards to share with you from Founder's Circle. This was REALLY tough. I enjoyed looking at each and every one and each one that made me pause for a closer look got put into a separate pile. When I was done looking at them all, I had a pile of about…

9/17 Stampin' Up! Joyous Celebrations Founder's Circle Swap Card

One of the highlights from Founder's Circle was our Business Share held Thursday night. Afterwards, we had our swap. It was so much fun . . . I can't wait to sit down sometime today and really get a good look at each one. I will post a few of my favorites to share with you tomorrow. In the meantime, I thought I would share the one I made.

I used the Joyous Celebrations stamp set and the Holiday Frame embossing folder both of which can be found on page 7 of the Holiday Mini. The glossy white paper that I used for the embossed panel really shines and sets off the embossing so beautifully. I used a Labels framelit die to create the Early Espresso mat over which I wrapped the ribbon. The deer is popped up on dimensionals and the pearls and bow add the finishing touch.

If you really like this card and would like to make some for yourself, you will need about 20" of ribbon for each card . . . and it just so happens that this ribbon is part of our Back to Spool September Speci…

9/16 Fun from Founder's Circle Day Four

One of the advantages of Founder's Circle is free time to relax and explore. On Saturday, a group of us hired a couple of guides from Paragon Adventures to take us on an excursion into the mountains that surround the St. George valley. It is very much a wilderness area that we entered where you hike and climb at your own risk. I'm looking rather serene as I contemplate the top of the mountain!  The guides looked for these rock cairns which marked the trails in the area.    Here we are on our way up. The guides took tons of pictures and delivered a picture CD to our hotel room so we could share the memories.
This was a spot along the way where we decided to have the guides take a group picture. (Actually, we needed to catch our breath!!)

Not all of it was uphill. We had an amazing morning and our early start kept us cool.

St. George had some nice rain showers a day or two before we arrived so there were quite a few pools along the way. This particular one was a bit deeper so…
