I needed some playtime . . . no Christmas today! I'm excited that demonstrators get to order from the Spring Mini tomorrow . . . one of the many fun perks of being a demo. I have a little clean up to do today from three sessions of card buffet over the last two days and then I think I will spend the afternoon reading. I am rereading all the Edward Rutherford books that I own. Currently on Forest after finishing Sarum and London earlier this fall.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by my blog today!!

11/27 Stampin' Up! Come to Bethlehem

Have you placed your Stampin' Up! order to take advantage of Online Extravaganza? You only have today and tomorrow to place an order to get the deals. And, tomorrow, November 28 will be a special day because the Clear Block Bundle will be discounted 20% along with the Clear Block Storage Caddy and the Stack & Store Caddy. at Stampin' Up's Online Extravaganza. Come to Bethlehem is featured on this card and it's one of the featured sets in our Online Extravaganza . . . 50% off!! A mere $7.48 when you get the clear mount set. And, for you wood mount lovers . . . just $9.98. What a deal!

The embossing folder called Northern Flurry is 25% off in the sale. I'm planning to get a second one in the next day or two because the one I have looks like it had a bite taken out of it! Somehow, it went through the Big Shot Machine crookedly and one of the corners is completely mashed. It still works all right, but looks terrible!

This is one of those cards that really, really sparkles IRL. (Truly, the picture just doesn't do this one justice!!) I stamped the image on Whisper White with Basic Gray ink. Then, I used my Big Shot Machine and the Apothecary Accents Framelits to cut out the image. I covered the whole cut out with VersaMark ink and sprinkled Heat and Stick Powder over it. I used a heat tool to heat it just long enough to get it sticky and then doused it in Dazzling Diamonds. One more pass with the heat tool to set the glitter and it was done. I like how the 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon coordinates with the Neutrals Designer Paper Stack. You can find the ribbon on page 26 of the Holiday Mini catalog.

Here is the inside panel of the card accented with a strip of the DSP and cut out star with a Basic Rhinestone accent. The Rhinestone Basic Jewels are on sale, too, but I've heard they are running low. It doesn't mean that you can't order them, but they might not ship until well into January. Yikes! I guess they have been a popular item in the sale!!

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

11/23 Brrrr . . . . Stampin' Up! Frosty Friends!

It's a white world out of my Minnesota window this morning and I type this in a rush as everyone but me is running around getting ready to go to the cabin!! So, since I really don't have time to stamp today, I'm going to share a card today by one of my downline, Cindy Standal. She made this card for a swap this fall and I've had it on display ever since.

I love how Cindy used scrap strips of Be Of Good Cheer DSP (which is on SALE right now via our Online Extravaganza!) She also used the framelit Christmas Tree from the Holiday Collection framelit set. I love the extra texture she gave the tree with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. But, the best part of this card (in my opinion, at least!) is that the snow people are holding snowballs that have been accented with our basic pearls!! So, so cute!!

Stamps: Frosty Friends (128117)
Paper: Very Vanilla (101650), Gumball Green (126840), Be of Good Cheer (126896)
Ink: StazOn Black (101406)
Tools: Big Shot Machine (113439), Holiday Collection Framelits (127814), Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (127751), Scallop Square Punch (119884)
Embellishments: Basic Pearls (119247)
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

11/22 Happy Thanksgiving!

I started off my Thanksgiving weekend yesterday when I picked up the mail and discovered this lovely card from Sherri, one of my customers. It's just a thrill to get a little handstamped something in the mail and it's still making me smile. Thank you, Sherri!!

Today, I'm going to be enjoying the day with all the relatives. We usually deep fly two turkeys and my sister-in-law, Siri, said she would make my favorite side dish ... Brussel Sprouts with Almonds and Apricots. My daughters and I made a Triple Batch of Cheesy Wild Rice Soup and three Pumpkin Pie Cheesecakes. I hope your day is full of good food and the blessings of being with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving!

11/21 Stampin' Up! Sparkling Merry Minis

One of my favorite products that Stampin' Up! sells is our wonderful sparkling Glimmer Paper in Red, Silver and Champagne. I wish you could see this card in person . . . and in the sun!! It's just G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!

I used Glossy White for the 1 1/4" squares which also catch the light for a bit more shine. The sentiment from Seasonal Sayings is stamped with VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder. To keep the circles nice and flush, I punched the designs out of scraps first with the Merry Minis punch pack from the 2012 Holiday Mini Catalog. Then, I centered a 1" Circle Punched over the cut out and punched my circle. I mixed it all up but putting different colors into different punch outs and then glued them onto the glossy squares.

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!! I appreciate you!

Stamps: Seasonal Sayings (WM 128006, CM128009) OR this particular sentiment can be purchased on its own as part of our Stamp Sets Gone Single Promotion (132310)
Paper: Cherry Cobbler (119685), Glossy White (102599), Red Glimmer (121790), Silver Glimmer (124005), Champagne Glimmer (127885)
Ink: VersaMark (102283)
Tools: Merry Minis Punch Pack (126882), 1" Circle Punch (119868), 1/1/4" Square Punch (119865), Heat Tool (4129053)
Accessories: White Embossing Powder (109132)

11/20 Stampin' Up! Circle Circus in a Paper Daisy

Who knew that Pool Party and Summer Starfruit would be such a pretty and fresh match! Certainly not me! I happened to be browsing a magazine and saw an ad with these colors that led to this lovely color combination. It's a quick and simple card with a little bit of pop and I plan to use it in my December and January Card Buffets.

I used a large Paper Daisy adhered with a dimensional to my card. I stamped one of the funky, fun circles from Circle Circus twice. . . once tone on tone onto Pool Party and the second time onto Glossy White. The first punch out is with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to grab the center portion of the scallop circle image. Then, I used a 3/4" punch to punch out the center from the image stamped on the glossy. I layered it all together and topped it off with an In Color Dahlia embellishment.

The inside of the card was created as follows . . . I used the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch to create the scallop ring. (The center part had already been punched out and it was used on the daisy.) Then, I took a birthday sentiment from Made for You and stamped it on Glossy White. This was punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and adhered to the inside card panel. Then, I just glued the scalloped ring over the top of the sentiment. So sweet and easy!!

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share! I appreciate you!

Stamps: Circle Circus (WM 115778, CM 127784), Made for You (WM 126340, CM 126342)
Paper: Pool Party (122975), Summer Starfruit (126839), Glossy White (102599)
Ink: Pool Party (126982)
Tool: Big Shot Machine (113439), Chevron Embossing Folder (127749), 1 1/4" Circle Punch (119861), 3/4" Circle Punch (119873),  1 3/8" Circle Punch (119860), 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (119854)
Embellishments: Paper Daisies (119243), In Color Dahlias (127556), Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon (122975)
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), SNAIL (104332)

If you placed an order yesterday to help Stampin' Up! kick off the Online Extravaganza and now you are on "pins and needles" waiting for that order to be delivered and are wondering just how long you should wait to call your demo to see if she knows when it might be arriving . . . maybe it's time to join SU as a demonstrator!! I still have fun unpacking it and letting my customers know that "it's in!!" Contact me for more information and if you decide to join us . . . you will get a FULL SET of 10 ink pads in Regals, Brights or Subtles as your gift from SU just for giving it try!!

11/19 Stampin' Up! Watercolor Winter

One of the nicest tools that I own is a Big Shot Machine. Just look at all the Big Shot fun I had putting together this elegant card! I used the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder to make the mat layer on my card. Then, Apothecary Accents Framelits came into play when I used Brushed Gold paper for the base cut out piece. I stretched this piece out by cutting down the center of the die cut and mounting it to my card with the points flush to the edges. Next, my Labels Collection Framelit Dies came into play. I used River Rock paper for one of the layers (which also matches my card base) and I paper pierced it with the Festive Paper Piercing Pack from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The Very Vanilla layer is stamped with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and pine images come from the stamp set called Watercolor Winter.

The Big Shot is on sale today, a one day only special as part of our Online Extravaganza. I think it is the best investment I have ever made . . . it's taken my card making to a whole new level and the fun seems to never end! If you don't have a Big Shot . . . today could be the day to change that!!

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by my Stamping to Share blog!! I appreciate you!

11/18 Demo Meeting Swap Cards Part Two of Scrippy Scraps

Here is the second installment of our Scrippy Scraps Swap Theme for our November Stamping to Share Demo Meeting. Enjoy!

Rachel Peulen created this silver embossed beauty! I love the tri-panel image . . . reminds me of the picture windows in the living room where I grew up. Her sentiment is from Loving Thoughts.

This card uses Comfort Cafe scraps in a pinwheel design created by Chris Glebus. I think pinwheels are a great way to use up scraps! The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Marsy Smallidge used little scrippy strips to make this Herringbone design on her swap card. It's a wow!! She used scraps from the paper pack called Floral District. The flower is from Printed Petals and Mixed Bunch.

Mary didn't forget the inside of this card either! Love the scrippy scrappy touches! The sentiment is from You're Amazing.

Sue McNeill created this cute card with paper scraps layered behind a tree shape that she cut into the card with the Holiday Collection Framelits set. I love the green dotted scallop ribbon punch outs along two of the sides of her main panel . . . so creatively done!

Katherine Narog cased Louise DelVecchio's very cute Santa card. I LOVE the idea of using the Curly Label punch for the belt buckle! The sentiment is from Joyous Celebrations.

Dawn Michels used some left over die scraps to make her card . . . the glimmer paper adds a lot of fun sparkle and shine. Her sentiment is also from Joyous Celebrations.

Cindy LeMire created this fun banner card with cute paper flowers and a bit of lace. She used a whole variety of scraps so each and every card she swapped was truly an original! The sentiment is from Mixed Medley.

Linda Watson used bits and pieces from her scrap pile to make the Christmas ornaments for her Christmas Lodge tree. The bitty ornament punches are from the Holiday Mini 2012 punch trio called Merry Minis. The Santa moon is from the stamp set called Jolly Bingo Bits.

If you want to get creative and have friends to get creative with . . . consider joining SU as a demonstrator. Since becoming a SU demonstrator five years ago, my life has been enriched beyond measure by the friends I've made. I am so grateful for the fun and joy that my customers and downline have blessed my life with. I would do it all over again . . . even without the FULL SET of 10 ink pads in Regals, Brights or Subltes . . . that SU is giving to all the new demonstrators this month!! If you would like to learn more about it please don't hesitate to Contact me for more information!

11/17 Demo Meeting Swap Cards Part One of Scrippy Scraps

Our November Stamping to Share Demo meetings are always lots of fun. We feature a swap theme almost every month and this month our focus was on using all those little scrippy scraps that we keep. I hope you enjoy all these scrippy scrappy ideas!

Debby Filiowich told me that in addition to scrippy scrappy pieces of paper, she keeps scrippy scrappy ribbon pieces, too! She cased a card by Sandie Conner that helped her use bits of ribbon scraps. Love this cute, seasonal idea that turns the owl punch into a turkey!

Barb Manship was inspired to turn her scraps into a beautiful window. Punched out items lend themselves well to scrips and scraps.

Grace Balfanz, who gave us the idea for this swap theme, used strips on her elegant card. I love the white on white embossing that she did on her card base with a stamp from Bordering on Romance.

Chris Kienbaum glued scraps down and then punched them out with her mitten punch! I love this idea! She said it reminded her of the days when her mom sent her to school with mis-matched mittens! (Better than none at all, I guess!)

Mary Bellis took some scraps and cut them into long skinny trees and used them on her Christmas card. Isn't that brilliant!! Love that idea!

Irene Boesen layered long skinny scraps cut into a pennant shape underneath a beautiful snowflake created with the new Snow Flurry Die from our 2012 Holiday Mini. Just gorgeous!

Laura Erickson spent a little time on this card, but oh the beauty of it!! She used the Top Note Die to make the sleigh and the Lattice Die to make the supports for the runners. All the presents created from and layered onto scrippy scraps and then accented with ribbon and twine.

Dorene Bye, inspired by Barb Mullikin, created this pinwheel birthday card from her scrippy scraps. These sunny colors will brighten the cloudiest of days!

Cindy Standal created this darling Dino Roar card. it's so cute and easy to do that I am going to put it on my Card Buffet this month. She said she was able to use up a lot of little Very Vanilla and Early Espresso scraps with this one.

And, this was my card for the scrippy scraps swap. I received a swap card from Lori Klitzke that I just LOVED and copied it exactly for our swap!!

I'll have Part Two of our Scrippy Scrappy Demo Swap post tomorrow so stay tuned!!

In the meantime, consider the benefits of becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. In addition to a FULL SET of 10 ink pads in Regals, Brights or Subltes . . . all those specials that are coming up next week in our Online Extravaganza . . . can be yours at an even further reduced price!! SU lets their demonstrators take advantage of customer specials, too! It's truly an amazing opportunity. It makes me wish I could start all over again. Don't miss this chance to just do it if you've been on the fence about it. Contact me for more information!
