9/12/13 Remembering Christmas - Another Sample of the Painter's Tape Technique

Before I get started on my Card Project, I just wanted you to know that the MAGNETIC PLATE IS AVAILABLE for ordering TODAY!! You can find it by clicking MAGNETIC PLATE!!

And now, back to our regularly scheduled blog post . . .

I come from family of hunters and I was excited to see Stampin' Up! carry this set in their Holiday Catalog. I was excited to try it out and since I had all my tape out . . . might as well make another Painter's Tape Background! This time I used the 1" Painter's Tape and the colors of ink I used from bottom to top are Night of Navy, Island Indigo and Perfect Plum. If you want to see a video tutorial just click on how to make Painter's Tape Backgrounds. I love how it turned out.

After the ink had a chance to dry, I inked up the deer with Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder. And to give the card even more interest, I took one of the antique brads that SU sells, inked it up in VersMark and then sprinkled it with Silver Embossing Powder. I used one of those wooden handled "reverse tweezers" to hold it by the legs while I heat embossed it. Then, be patient and let it cool off before you touch it because it will be HOT!! Ask me how I know!! lol!

Hope you've enjoyed seeing this card! Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!! I appreciate you!
