November Demo Meeting Swaps Part Two

Here is the second set of swaps from our November Demo Meeting with the theme of using a stamp set that starts with the same letter at your name . . . first, last, middle or maiden!
Cindy used Serene Silhouettes and So Sorry to make this beautiful sympathy card. She also carried the theme from our swap into every selection she made on this card from the paper (Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip) and ink (Chocolate Chip) to the embellishments (Crochet Trim and a Soft Suede Glimmer Brad!)

Dawn decided to make a wedding card with the stamp set Mr. & Mrs. to go with her options. A beautiful card for a winter wedding with the red glimmer and the crisp white. The card opens up as a gatefold which adds an unexpected but elegant touch.

Debby used the Four Frames stamp set to coordinate with her last name and she used it very creatively as a frame for her main image! I love her color choices! She also chose to use Summer Silhouettes and Really Good Greetings which are a couple …

November Demo Meeting Swaps Part One

Our swap theme for our demo meeting this month was to pick a stamp set that started with your name. I gave lots of leeway . . . middle name and maiden name included!
Laura picked the stamp set "Lacy & Lovely" and created a beautiful File Folder Card using the Envelope Punch Board. She used the Venetian Romance Designer Paper which provided some wonderful contrast with the Baked Brown Sugar neutral. I have a tutorial for making a cute Gift Card Holder with the Envelope Punch Board.

Lee used Lovely as a Tree to make a simply elegant Christmas card. I love all the white space and the mail-ability factor! Sometimes we get so carried away with embellishments we forget that beauty can shine without as well. Silver Details add just a hint of sparkle to the tree.

Marlys picked the stamp set Gifts of Kindness to coordinate with her last name and created with pretty card with Night of Navy all against a backdrop of Whisper White. An absolutely lovely Thinking of You card.

Scrapbook Pages from Founder's Circle 2013 & the NEW Weekly Deal!

I've had this on my "to do" list for some time and today is the day!! I took some pictures at Founder's Circle of some lovely scrapbook pages and today is the day I am finally getting around to sharing them. You will see all kinds of "sneak peeks" on these pages. I LOVE the way the ampersand is used on this page . . . although to cut it out must have taken some patience!

And look at these sweet boys! Can you find the ampersand? It's almost hidden in the sheerness of the vellum. This page makes me want to scrapbook!!
More sweetness . . . LOVE the new washi tapes and the touches of gold. The watercolor look is sublime! And, it looks like ampersands are the new "in" thing!

And finally, this lovely page. I'm crazy about the way the picture was stamped! Just use White StazOn ink over a photo for a fresh approach in your albums. The stamped sentiment is from the online stamp set called Spread the Joy.
AND . . . here are the NEW weekly deals!…

Easy & Versatile Festive Flurry Card with Video

I love the change of seasons in Minnesota and the older I get the more I appreciate winter. I like that occasionally winter forces you to slow down. When you are snowed in for a day, there's nothing quite like sitting by the fire and reading a good book while the kids are in the kitchen baking cookies. The Festive Flurry stamp set with its coordinating bundle is a true celebration of the season. Pair it up with Sweet Essentials and you can celebrate almost any winter occasion! I made this card to be easily customized by my customers. In the video below, you can see how it looks as a birthday card.

My Paper Pumpkin Noel

These are the sweet, sweet cards from November 2013 Paper Pumpkin Kits . . . I love My Paper Pumpkin! I love the fun and the surprise. I would never in a million years sew all those little stars onto a string to make a garland, but I love that Stampin' Up! created it for us - it's cute, swingy and makes these cards so much fun.

This is the card that I pretty much cased exactly from the flier included in each Paper Pumpkin Kit. Our stamps this time around included the star and the Wishing You sentiment. The Noel was already printed onto the banner.

Here is one of the variations that I made with my kit. I added rhinestone embellishments to the star.

A close up . . . and below you can find the video for a simpler card that I made and liked so well, that I did the final two cards just like it.
