Sneak Peek: Fancy Foil Vellum in gold Stripes, Dots & Hearts!

Image
One of the prettiest products in the Spring Occasions Catalog is the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum in selections of Gold or Silver. I love the way this sneak peek card came out because it has what I call an Earthy Elegance. You have the Wood Grain embossing folder as a backdrop over a Tangerine Tango card stock base. Then bring in a Tea Lace Doily and start layering! The vellum with cut out with the Floral Frames framelit collection. The center of the flower uses the Pancy Punch, a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and Gold Baker's Twine. The Sequins are another sneak peek: Gold Sequin Trim. It's easy to pull off individual sequins from the trim to accent your projects. The stamps are from Happy Watercolor which is also in the Spring Mini . . . all of which will be available to order starting January 3.

Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Sneek Peek: Simple Stems, Banner's Framelits and Hip Notes

Image
I know that you can't help but notice the awesome swoopy banners on this card . . . all PERFECTLY cut in every way. Introducing Banner Framelits!! I just about cart wheeled when I saw this product debut in our Spring Occasions Mini Catalog. You can also stamp sentiments and images and cut them out into a banner shape with hardly any effort at all!! The images that you see stamped on this card are from two new sets: Simple Stems and Hip Notes. And, how do you like that designer paper?? That's a sneak peek into one of our Sale-a-bration products coming up the end of January! It's a real winner and I know I will be one of many to stock up on it!

Sneak Peek: Happy Watercolor & new products in the Clearance Rack!!

Image
I got this set as a gift at Founder's Circle this fall. It is called Happy Watercolor and I know it will be one of my "go to" sets. Almost anything you do with it turns out pretty!! The card above has a Pistachio Pudding base with layers of Whisper White and Sahara Sand. The Washi Tape is in gold and the trio has stripes, dots and a solid. I've used the stripes and solid on this card. You might also notice the button - one of the four sizes of our new basic metal buttons. The bow is from a new kind of Baker's Twine that has a thread of gold running through it. There is also a silver option available! The flower was stamped with Basic Gray ink and the watercolor overlay is stamped in Daffodil Delight. The dots are lightly stamped in Sahara Sand.

And guess what? The Clearance Rack was updated today with new items added to our Clearance Rack Blitz!! Don't hesitate to check it all out by clicking below!

Sneak Peek: Life in the Forest and Just Sayin'

Image
What is life like in the forest? Will we ever know the answer to the question, "What does the fox say?"  Well . . . if you combine two new stamp sets from Stampin' Up! . . . Life in the Forest and Just Sayin', you can decide for yourself what the fox said! The Spring Mini Catalog goes "live" on January 3 and from now until then I will share sneak peeks. Enjoy!!

My favorite things about this card? The matching framelits that go with the stamp set called Just Sayin'. I also love the bright and open feel this card has. I used Bermuda Bay for the base card, a layer of  Crushed Curry and Shimmery White for the stamped panel and sentiment cut out.

Santa's List with a Gift! ... and a How to Video!

Image
Every year I like to gift my Level One Down Line Group (people that have joined directly under me) a special gift at Christmas and this is what I came up with for 2013. It was just a joy to create this and I as I did, I counted the blessings that Stampin' Up! has brought to my life. Priceless friendships and a career that lets me enjoy the art of creativity every single day.

Santa is wrapped by ribbon to a Crumb Cake Note Card Envelope which makes the perfect spot to enclose the gift! My gift was a container of Frosted Finishes from Stampin' Up! Enjoy the video below to see exactly how this project was created.

December Demo Meeting Swap - Tags Part Two

Image
Today we continue with our demo meeting swap of Tags Too Cute to Toss or Too Gorgeous for the Garbage. Irene's tag uses the Daydream Medallions stamp set with the coordinating framelits to create this sweet tag. The center stamp is from the Holiday Mini catalog set called Very Merry Tags.

When you flip Irene's tag over, she continued decorating with a great space for writing to and from.

Faith's tag shows off the lovely stamp set called Joyful Christmas. The flower is stunning! She stamped it with Silver Encore ink and topped it off with a Frosted Finishes accent piece.

Faith also went on to stamp and decorate the inside of the tag.

Sharon used the Big Shot machine with the Top Note Die to create this darling snowman! Love the Festive Flurry die cut on his hat and how clever to use a sponge dauber to make the pink cheeks!

Dawn made this tag for the swap pairing a Tea Lace Doily with an ovals collection cut out of our Red Glimmer paper followed up with a Scallop Oval Pu…

December Demo Meeting Swap - Tags Part One

Image
I have some of the most talented downline members! Our theme this month was Tags . . . Too Cute to Toss or Too Gorgeous for the Garbage! Enjoy the Awesomeness!
The first tag by Dorene, using the retired Two Tags Die for the base, shows off the Be Merry stamp available in the Christmas Assortment (134767). It's making me wish I would have gotten that as this is a super simple and quick tag to put together.

And, Dorene took the tag to a whole new level when she added the envelope made with the Envelope Punch Board on the back for tucking money or a gift card. I like the way she did the closure with the word window punch, too! She adhered the punch out on each side leaving the center area open so that the envelope flap can be tucked in, but still opened easily. (just love that!!)

Lee created this snowflake tag with the Festive Flurry stamp set and the coordinating framelits. It has a hidden window that she created with the next size down snowflake framelit.

Elegant Mixed Bunch Birthday Card with Video

Image
This pretty card uses a z-fold technique where you fold back the front panel of your card to show off part of the inside on the outside. This card was quite popular with my customers this fall and I am only now getting around to sharing it on my blog.

For your convenience, I've also created a how to video with the measurements so that you can recreate it exactly if you want to. Enjoy!

Festive Flurry Ornament Kit

Image
I have just enough time before heading off to weekend activities to show you the tag box I made for a gift exchange with my Stamping to Share Downline Group. I used the Festive Flurry Ornament Kit to create the gorgeous snowflakes. It takes a while to hot glue everything so you have to be patient! I might be a slow worker, but I think it took me around two hours to create this box from start to finish and then I had four additional snowflakes left over from the kit to use as tags. (Well, actually three because I had what you would call a "trial and error" snowflake when I was first getting started that ended up in garbage! lol!)

Here is a close up view of the center of the wreath that adorns the tag box. I used the Expressions Thinlit Die with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets and stuck the Silver Glimmer die cut onto a piece of vellum card stock that I cut to look like a banner. Where the snowflakes overlap the vellum on the left side is where I glued the banner onto the wreath…
