3/29 Spring Fling Banner!

I am so excited about the banner that we are making at our Spring Fling for my downline and our customers on April 20. I was inspired by two very creative people in my life . . . Shelli Gardner, our Cofounder & CEO of Stampin' Up!, and Mary Alice Bellis, a downline member in Creative Crafters Stamping to Share.

We are meeting from 9 am - 3pm at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church in Lino Lakes. In addition to the banner, we have quite a few other cards and projects that we are also doing. And, if Scrappin' in your thing . . . we are gettin' down with a Get 'er Done Scrapbooking Class where participants go home with 12 completed pages using the Afternoon Daydreams Simply Scrappin' Kit. The last day to sign up is March 30.  Please email me for a Spring Fling Flier and Registration Form if you are interested in attending! The cost is just $45 and includes lunch!

Below are some close up pictures of our banner project. Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

3/27 "My Style" Demo Swap Cards Part Two

This is the second half of our demo swap cards that we created to represent our individual styles. I hope you enjoy!!

Katherine Narog created this fun birthday card for our swap. Dare I say it's a little on the nerdy side? Nope . . . I didn't say that!! lol! Just kiddin', Katherine!

Karen Larson made this cute one . . . I like the bright colors and the flowers. She even made a cute little folksy flower accent!

Dorene Bye created this beauty also featuring flowers. I like the smattering of turquoise florals that are scattered over the flower image from Serene Silhouettes. That's a really neat look. The small flowers are from the stamp set called Confetti.

What a cute little punchie chick! This Easter card will definitely bring on the smiles . . . and Debby Filiowich has a knack for bringing on smiles herself! You can't help but love it! (and her!)

Dawn Michels is going to be a grandma and she is getting ready with this sweet card made with the stamp set called Two by Two. I love how the rainbows in the designer paper (Sunshine & Sprinkles) from the Spring Mini go perfectly with this stamp set.

If you know Cindy Standal, you know she's got a great sense of humor. She decided to have her fish "do" something so they are learning how to jump over the ball! We all got such a kick out of that! Another great By the Tide card.

Sally Pinski likes "beautiful" and this card certainly is! She used two stamp sets, Papillion Potpourri and Elements of Style to create this beautiful card. The actual fold open card part is actually the vanilla piece that sits on a single mat of Daffodil Delight that was embossed with our Tulip Border Embossing Folder.

And lastly, my card to represent me. "Easy Elegance" is my preferred style. But, like many of you, my styles are always changing and evolving. But I have noticed that easy and elegant looks combined with a bit of vintage draw me back over and over.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

3/26 This is "My Style" Demo Swap Cards Part One

At our demo March Demo meeting, our swap theme was "My Style." We could make anything we wanted as long as it represented our own individual style in some way. It was fun to see the projects people created. I will do part one today and part two tomorrow.

Laura Erickson created this super cute carrot favor from the Scallop Circle Die and the Scallop Oval Punch. Very quick and cute to make for a sweet little Easter decoration. She filled a small baggie with a few jelly beans and stuffed it into the carrot. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Chris Glebus made a quick and classy card with the stamp set called By the Tide. Very manly (she is in a houseful of boys!) so a card like this will come in handy. She can add any sentiment on the right just under the shell area to personalize the card.

Linda Watson finds that stamping is just her cup of tea! She stamped the images in Black StazOn and then colored with markers.

Mary Bellis made this beautify with lots of texture and the bright Daffodil Delight just makes me happy to look at it! Mary must have thought so, too, as she used the "happy" from happy birthday in Curly Cute to complete this card. The bees are from Collage Curios.

Mary Smallidge calls herself the Queen of Putz and there is no denying it when she showed up with this card! The butterflies from Papillion Potpourri are actually stamped on both sides and look just like real butterflies!! So, so pretty!

Sue McNeill is enjoying her Dress Up Framelits. It's so much fun to play dress up with these new Stampin' Up! dies. I love the little jacket she created by trimming up the second dress. Pretty pearls, too.

Barb Manship created an interesting card . . . and not surprising! Barb is quite resourceful! She used the Scallop Oval Framelit Die as sort of a frame for her card which combined designer paper, the Fancy Fan embossing folder, an image from Four Frames and a sentiment from Bloomin' Marvelous. Oh, and don't forget the ribbon either!! It's eclectic and fun!

And, our last demo card for today shows off a card that makes you think of an elegant make up case. I love the layers and how she used the Apothecary Framelit shape to highlight the crown image from Artistic Etchings. A birthday card that's very girly and fun!

Be sure to check in tomorrow . . . I will have more demo swap cards to share!

3/22 Sale-a-bration 2013 almost over . . .

One of my Stampin' Up! demonstrator friends is Sandy Carlson and she surprised me this week with a card. Isn't it cute?? I just love it and will probably put a version of it into my card buffet this month. She used our butterfly punches and scraps of paper from the Sale-a-bration paper called Sycamore Street. The embossing that you see in the background is a panel embossed with our Vine Street Embossing folder, which is also a Sale-a-bration item. The sentiment is part of our Pop Up Posies Designer Kit on page 18 of the Spring Mini. The rhinestones are the perfect finishing touch. Thank you, Sandy! I am really enjoying this card (along with my Caribou card, too!)

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share. Today is our last day of Sale-a-bration for 2013. Now, off to submit just a couple more Sale-a-bration orders!

3/19 By the Tide Canvas Creation

Yesterday I posted a customer favorite, today I'm posting a creation very similar except that I changed out the colors, added a sentiment and stamped on canvas!

And, I have a confession to make . . . when I first got the canvas . . . I didn't like it because it seemed to compromise the stamped images making them look fuzzy-like. OK, I KNOW that's the whole point, but fuzziness just doesn't look good to me . . . even when it is supposed to! So yesterday, I pulled out some of that canvas and decided to give it another try. Except, I accidentally stamped my first image on the back side and low and behold . . . I got a pretty crisp looking image! So I continued stamping on the back side of the canvas, and then I sponged it and what you see above is what I created!! And now I LIKE canvas, as long as I'm stamping on the backside of it!

However, if I were to remake this card, I would stamp second generation plants. I think they came out just a little too dark . . . but not bad. I will happily mail this card to my dad to wish him good luck on the fishing opener this spring! (provided the ice ever melts as it is 9 degrees right now!!)

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!!

3/18 By the Tide Customer Favorite

By the Tide is a stamp set that is featured in the Spring Mini 2013 catalog and this card, which I cased from a Display Board at Leadership, has been a customer favorite! I think almost every By the Tide stamp set that I have sold since the debut of the Spring Mini can be traced back to this card. That fish looks a lot like a Walleye and for those of us that like to fish or have family members or friends that like to fish . . . well, lets just say that this card can be made to fit many different occasions!

I really like embossed vines in the background. These vines are created with a Sale-a-bration item and after the 22nd, it will no longer be available!! That's only four more days . . . how does the time go so fast? Fortunately, it's not too late yet to get this great embossing folder and it just so happens that I'm having an Online Sale-a-bration Party . . . click HERE for more details!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share. Be sure to check back tomorrow when I share another variation of this card.

3/15 Oh, Hello for My Sunshine Clubs

Oh my goodness, I have been busy! I had my Sunshine Clubs this week and one of the cards my customers got to make, inspired by Amy Storrie, was this fun card that uses the Oh, Hello stamp set. We used a Sponge Dauber to lightly tint the rose clipped from the Flower Trim Ribbon with Calypso Coral. Our designer paper came from the Tea for Two package. All of these products are featured in the Stampin' Up! Spring Mini 2013.

My customers also got to experiment with dyeing  Flower Trim, too, as you can see by our monthly Technique Card. The Yellow flower was spritzed with Daffodil Delight Ink Refill mixed with water in a Stampin' Spritzer. The flower next to it along the bottom was also spritzed with the Daffodil Delight mixture, but before it dried, we edged the petals with Calypso Coral marker. The other flower was tipped with Calypso Coral using a Sponge Dauber. I also mentioned "smooshing" the flower directly into the ink pad, which is another way that you can color the flowers.

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Stamps: Oh, Hello (WM 130730, CM 130733)

3/12 Punch Art Easter Bunny and a Glue Dot Bow How To Video

A couple of days before Easter last year I came across a card by Connie Babbert that was so cute, I had to save it to my computer so I would remember to recreate it this year for my customers at club and here it is . . .

I made a few modifications as I recreated it and I just love how it turned out. And, the best part is that my customers are loving it, too . . . and that's a sure sign of success!

This is the inside of the card. I used the Quint- Essential Flower and stamped it tone on tone over the Pool Party Paper. Then, I took the Easter Blessings stamp from the Spring Mini and stamp over the top of the flower with StazOn Black ink.

I also came up with a way to make perfect bows using glue dots! I was so excited about this because so many of us are "bow challenged!" Give Glue Dot Bows a try and you might find a great new way to make a bow that actually isn't challenging at all!!

Thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share! I appreciate you so much!!

3/10 Designer Type Birthday Card using Photopolymer Stamps from Stampin' Up!

My first set of Stampin' Up! Photopolymer Stamps arrived at my house on Friday and this weekend I had the opportunity to put them to good use designing a card for my customers to make this week at Sunshine Club. I made a few different samples using different cakes from Patio Party. And so . . . you might be wondering what my opinion is about the new Photopolymer Stamps.

It's easy to share that with just three little words shouted loud and clear to the world . . . I LOVE THEM! Stampin' Up! is doing a kind of "test run" to see what our opinion is . . . to see how sales do and in general, to find out if we are having fun using them. Well . . . I am definitely having fun!! Check out my video at the end of the post to see me create this card and you can judge that for yourself.

I used the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Vintage Verses on the inside of the card and accented it with a little bitty cupcake. A perfect little touch for this sweet birthday card. Enjoy the video, and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!

Stamps: Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set (132956), Vintage Verses (free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration)
Paper: Raspberry Ripple (126842), Midnight Muse (126843), Whisper White (100730)
