One of my downline members, Dawn Chase, and I put on a card making event this past weekend in Hayward. It all starts with cutting, and organizing the card packets for 18 guests.
I decorated the project bags with Moonlight Designer Series Paper, used the baby wipe technique with the grateful tag from the stamp set called Merry Everything and added a couple of wooden elements. Katherine Narog designed this for our Fall Flair Retreat in early October. (I’m not one to reinvent the wheel! lol!)
When our guests arrived, this is what greeted them . . . the project bag and a sweet thank you for coming gift that Dawn Chase and her mom Charmaine made for us. It was AWESOME!
Here is a close up, You can see it was made with the All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper.
It is a four pocket holder designed to fit tea bags . . .
or chocolates …
or in our case . . . BOTH!! If you are interested in recreating this, Dawn got the idea from Sam Donald from the UK. Here is the link to the UTube Video: http://youtu.be/YKvC50-0FGc
A picture of Dawn and I just minutes before our guests arrived.
We did a customized Card Buffet. Each of our guests were able to pick out the cards they wanted to do from a “buffet” of choices. Their bags were packed with the cards just perfect for them. Here is our set up.
This is Elizabeth and her daughter Jackie. Elizabeth is one of my downline members and such a great cheerleader. She was the wind under our wings on Saturday! Thanks for all you do, Elizabeth!
This is Dawn and one of her greatest supporters . . . Michelle Baranick who is the owner of Michelle’s Crafts right in downtown Hayward. She is a great crafter and we were honored to have her join us for the day!
A peek at our happy customers. It was so much fun . . . we all can’t wait to get together again!
Afterwards, a few of us went out to eat at the Logger’s Mill Restaurant in Hayward. YUM!!! The fries were out of this world!
And no stop in Hayward would be complete without picking up some world famous Home Made Fudge!! I had a “power breakfast” this morning!! lol!
Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by Stamping to Share!! I truly appreciate you!!

It truly is a lot of work, but it is like, Moira said, "A labor of love!" And . . . I have a helper!! Together, the work goes quickly! Or at least the time seems to as we have so much fun prepping for these events!
