Hooray It's Your Day Project Kit and a Birthday Gift Card Holder with How To Video

One of the Project Kits featured in the 2015 Occasions Catalog is called Hooray It's Your Day. I took it with me to the cabin over winter break along with the coordinating stamp set and thought I would just do one of each of the four card designs pictured above. Well, the kit ended up being so much fun to work with, that I actually ended up putting all 20 cards together! I couldn't seem to stop!! They are beautiful, quick and easy to create and I loved the interesting features of the cards.

This Birthday Tag card is the first card that I put together. The front of the card features some lovely resist paper that reveals its design when spritzed. Don't you love the way the yellow and green blends together? The kit had many wonderful embellishments, too, such as stick on numbers to personalize your cards, washi tape, silver glimmer, baker's twine and wooden elements such as the stars that you see on the card above.

This is the way the card looks when you open it up. You can see that there is plenty of room for a gift card of your choice.

And, this is how I chose to stamp the inside panel. The kit comes with great instructions . . . but of course, there is lots of room to play and make it more your own.

After I had the kit completed, I wished I could make more!! So, I took the measurements and the designs and decided to case a card from the kit and this is what I created. I used the Irresistibly Yours Sale-a-bration Specialty Designer Series Paper. I had run out of the washi tape so to recreate that look, I used a strip of paper from Confetti Sale-a-bration. Enjoy the How To Video below and have a wonderful day!!

I truly appreciate the way you  support my business and it is my joy to send a hand stamped card to each person who places an online order with me. In addition, I will give you a Happy Stamper token for each $50 increment that you order. 10 tokens earns you a FREE stamp set of your choice!!

great idea but I ruined 3 pieces of cardstock before I realized I needed to start out with a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock to cut to 11 1/2. Guess I missed that bit of information in the video!!
