March Stamping to Share Swap Cards

Our Swap numbers were down a bit from our usual. I think there was just a lot going on and the date kind of creep-ed up on us! However, the quality of the cards --- well, let's just say the word "spectacular" is the only thing that fits the bill! Enjoy!!

Faith used the stamp set called Love is Kindness to  make this beautiful spring card. I love the typeset paper she used in the background. Some of the tulips are actually stamped separately from the main image, colored and cut out and then raised up on dimensionals to give the bouquet a three dimensional feel.

Mary's card uses the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack along the sides and bottom of this super cute card. The flower images are from the stamp set called Painted Petals. I love the bright springy feel of this card and the added details like the Large Polka Dot Embossing that she did on one of the layers.

Laura's card really is a gift in itself. I can't image the time it must have taken for her to make all of these cards for this swap. They look fairly complicated to me!! (PLEASE don't ask me how to do this as I'm still trying to figure it out myself!!) Here is the front of the card.

When you open up the card, the image that you see on the front, is replaced by another panel that slides over it.

When the card is completely opened up, you have your inside sentiment.

I think she must be a mechanical engineer because though I can appreciate this card, I'm not sure I could replicate it! lol!

Here is a close up of the beautiful decorating she did on the front panel. She used the wedding stamp set called For the New Two from our Spring Occasions Mini along with the flower stamp set called Petite Petals which is from our Annual Catalog, Just Divine, don't you agree? Thank you, Laura!

Ahhh, and now back to cards I can recreate! lol! This delightful tag/treatbag combo was created by Dorene. What a great way to celebrate a Spring Birthday. She used  several stamp sets here: Basic Butterflies, Petal Potpouri, Hello Live, all of which are in the Spring Occasions Catalog, as well as Petite Petals from our main catalog.

Here is a picture that shows the tag that I teased you with in the previous photo.

Mary's Double Tent Card was cased from Stamp Crab. It's a true work of art and another one of those projects that I probably won't be "engineering" but do enjoy displaying in my studio!! WOW!! Thank you much, Mary, for pouring your heart into this even when you were feeling under the weather the day you were making your swaps. It's a beauty!

Sue's card shows off a neat technique. She stamped Butterflies from Papillon Potpourri onto the colored backdrop of the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series paper adding another layer of interest to this beautiful card. The large butterfly framelit cut out is layered over the Swallowtail butterfly which is then cut down to fit behind the cut out. LOVE that idea and so appreciate that Sue shared it.

Dawn's card is a wedding card that features two cut outs on it's embossed front. The top cut out reveals a sentiment from from the Sale-a-bration stamp set called Simply Wonderful. The bottom cut out is a heart punch out featuring the arrow from You Plus Me. She added rings to emphasize the fact that it's a wedding card . . . what a great finishing touch to a beautiful card.

This was my swap card. You can see the full post about it along with the How To video by clicking on: For Peeps' Sake.
