4th of July Card that's a "Little Bit Country" with How To Video

Independence Day is right around the corner so I wanted to share this card today to give you a little time and inspiration to create a card yourself for this major US Holiday. I love the 4th of July . . . parades, picnics, watermelon and fireworks. That's what I think of when I think of the 4th. But, I also remember all those who served our country in the past as well as in the present.

A lot of people don't send 4th of July cards and I get that. However, I bet you know someone who isn't able to be out and about on the 4th. Maybe they are ill, or in a nursing home. Maybe they even served our country during their lifetime and the fourth means even more to them than it does to you. I'll bet they would like a card from you. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it brought tears to their eyes and the next time you visit them, you will see it on display to remind them every day that someone cares. Be that someone and care.

Here's the how to video so you can be inspired to create a 4th of July card, too. I love the Crumb Cake tips on the star that make this card "a little bit country." I made those with the Stampin' Up! Tree Punch . . . cool, huh? Enjoy the video and thank you so much for stopping by Stamping to Share - I truly appreciate you.

An even "quicker" way to make this card is to use the tree punch to punch off the tips of the Real Red star that can then be layered onto the Crumb Cake star. That would eliminate some of the fussy gluing going on with the star tips. However, I didn't figure this out until after I made the video! haha! "So like me!" Enjoy your 4th!

Edited to add a video . . . so, one day later and I am adding a video to this blog post so that you can see a far faster and easier way to make the card above. Enjoy!!

I like the look of this 'country star' very much.
When I watched the video on youtube, my first thought was I would do it in reverse and snip of the corners of the red star instead of glueing the crumb cake corners.
But that was before I read your blogpost and your on comment on it...
