Love is Kindness with How To Video

This card is so quick and easy. The stamp called Love is Kindness is from our 2015 Occasions Catalog. I think the cute newsprint on the stamp lends itself so well to our Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper which is what I used here in the background. The Stacked with Love Washi gives the image panel a nice anchor and really helps you zero in on the tulips which are colored with Blendibilities.

I truly love these markers . . . but please be very careful to make sure that you are snapping those caps on tightly!! I've had more than one marker dry out because of this. These markers are not as of yet refillable so if that happens and you really want to use that marker, you have to purchase another set in that color. Also, as I am using these markers, I am finding out that they do not last forever like my regular Stampin' Write markers seem to. They will need to be replaced much more frequently. But, if you can live with that . . . you will love the way they color. Truly makes it worth it in my opinion. Enjoy the How To Video below and have a great day!

Baby Bumblebee Label Framelits Flip Card

This past weekend, I posted a flip card created with the Big Shot and Deco Label Framelits by Mary Smallidge, one of my demonstrator friends. Since then, I have had several people email me asking if I would do a demo on making framelit flip cards. So, very, very early this morning, I got up, created a card and a video for you. Then I had my morning stamping group and now I am ready to make my blog post. I used the stamp set called Baby Bumblebee from the 2015 Occasions Mini Catalog. CUTE, right??

The only thing I did on the inside panel was the sentiment punched out with the ticket punch. If I would have had a bit more time, I would have decorated the back side of the flip over part. But, alas, I was in a hurry and just wanted to give you the basics of how to put a card like this together. Enjoy the how to video below and have a GREAT day!! I truly appreciate that you stopped by!! Thank you!

February Stamping to Share Demo Swaps Part Two

Linda was reaching for Spring when she created this card with the Stampin' Up! hostess set called Bloom with Hope. The centers of her flowers sparkle with dots of Dazzling Details. The flowers are anchored with Washi tape. I must admit we are all longing for spring in MN!

Sue's card had us all gaping in amazement! She promised to demo the technique for us at our March Meeting and I have every intention of teaching my club members how to recreate it for their March Technique card!! It is called the Bokeh Technique. Looks like a lot of fun! Sue used the sentiment from the stamp set called Painted Petals.

Mary's card makes the best of gorgeous light and airy layer. She started with a sheet of Painted Blooms designer series paper and then followed this up by the Hexagon Hive Die. The beautiful Butterflies Thinlit Die Cut is the perfect touch to this card. She accented it with basic pearls colored with her Blendabilities marker. The sentiment is from the Sale-a-bration set called Simply Wonderful punched with the Decorative Label Punch.

Dawn's card uses the stamp set called Love is Kindness and I just LOVE the way she stamped it twice. From the scrap she used a heart punch to take out the sentiment. After sponging it, she layered it over her main image. So cool!! Another unique touch on this card is that Dawn only colored the blooms and left the foliage plain. It's actually very striking! The lace is from the Venetian Trim found in our annual catalog.

Diana used the Sale-a-bration ser called Best Day Ever to create this cute card featuring a tag as its main image. I love the sweet detail of the hand cut flowers that she made to accent the tag and to tie in with the tone on tone stamping along the bottom. The designer series paper, the ribbon and the button are also Sale-a-bration items that you can receive as your gift from Stampi' Up! with every $50 product increment that you purchase.

This is the card I shared in our demo swap. If you would like more details about it, I have an entire post on it along with the how to video. Just click on One Design - Three Different Stamp Sets to see all the information on it. I used the stamp set called Big on You.

February Stamping to Share Demo Swaps Part One

This beauty by Laura uses the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper in the background. The butterfly die cut adds a light and airy touch to this card. Who can live without the Butterflies Thinlits Dies? It might very well be my favorite die ever from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from the stamp set that actually coordinates with the designer paper, called Painted Petals. She used the Decorative Label Punch to layer up the words.

Kim's card takes advantage of one of the Spring Occasions Bundles called Crazy About You. This bundle includes the Crazy About You stamp set with the Hello You Thinlits Dies. I love how she used the Handheld Stapler from Stampin' Up! to attach the skinny die cut to her card ... a truly trendy touch! Kim handcut the leaves (oh my, the patience!) but she used the Medallion Flower Punch on the yellow part of the flower. The smaller accent flower was handcut from the center of the big flower that had been stamped on scrap in Calypso Coral.

Cindy's card is a tri-fold display card. I love the way the she uses the two butterfly punches on this card. The smaller butterflies were cut from the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper that was sponged with color to show off the resist. Cindy uses many different projects on this card . . . it's kind of like going on a scavenger hunt! I see two sets of thinlit dies, two sets of framelit dies, an embossing folder, three different punches and two different stamp sets! Wow!!

Mary's card was part of her demonstration at our meeting. She showed us how to use the big shot with our framelit dies to make flip cards! This is the front of the card. She used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment and Painted Blooms for the background paper. The stamped images are from the 2015 Occasions set called Painted Petals.

This is the card flipped open to reveal the inside sentiment from the stamp set called Basic Butterflies.. (If you wish, you could also decorate the flipped over part.) The framelit set she used is from the Annual catalog called Deco Labels Framelits.

Faith's card highlights spring! She lightly sponged the raised images from the Lovely Lace embossing folder and then added touches of gold with the ribbon and the Hello You Thinlit Dies. This card is a stunner in real life as the Thank You absolutely sparkles with each beam of light! She cut the words from our Gold Glimmer paper and I assure you that they are very "glimmery!"
