4th of July Card that's a "Little Bit Country" with How To Video

Image
Independence Day is right around the corner so I wanted to share this card today to give you a little time and inspiration to create a card yourself for this major US Holiday. I love the 4th of July . . . parades, picnics, watermelon and fireworks. That's what I think of when I think of the 4th. But, I also remember all those who served our country in the past as well as in the present.

A lot of people don't send 4th of July cards and I get that. However, I bet you know someone who isn't able to be out and about on the 4th. Maybe they are ill, or in a nursing home. Maybe they even served our country during their lifetime and the fourth means even more to them than it does to you. I'll bet they would like a card from you. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it brought tears to their eyes and the next time you visit them, you will see it on display to remind them every day that someone cares. Be that someone and care.

Stamping to Share Shoebox Swaps Part One

Image
We had a Stamping to Share Shoebox Swap in June which was to feature something new from our Share the Fun 2015-16 Stampin' Up! catalog. Here are is Part One of the fabulous cards that were made at this event . . . Enjoy!!

Mary Alice made this great card featuring quite a few "new" items from the catalog. First off, notice the banner? It's from the new collection of framelits called Lot's of Labels. I love the idea of making fancy card banners with this framelit set. The designer paper is from the pack called English Garden and the stamp set is from a set called Birthday Blossoms which you can see pictured on page of the catalog. The stitched satin ribbon that you see at the top of the banner is also new and looks luscious in Melon Mambo.

Dawn's card features four of our new In Colors . . . Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron. Stamp sets used in this card include Crazy About You for the sentiment, Petite Petals and Butterfly B…

Heartfelt Sympathy with Swishes from Work of Art Plus How To Video

Image
The new stamp set called Heartfelt Sympathy pairs beautifully with the swishes from Work of Art and the flowing script is lovely with one of our newest embossing folders called Fluttering. This will be one of the cards that I make for one of the organized Convention Swaps that I am participating in as well as an upcoming Stamping to Share downline swap. I truly love these colors together so I hope it doesn't get too monotonous . . .  lol! . . . We'll see . . . I might change my mind about these colors after making the 100th card! Enjoy the how to video and thanks so much for stopping by. If you love the ribbon that I used on this card, be sure to check out my Product Shares as they are still going strong!
