Our Stamping to Share Fall Themed Card Swaps

Our Stamping to Share Group Swap for November was to create something with Fall in mind. The wind and leaves are blowing and it's fun to be inspired by our surroundings. I hope you enjoy the cards as much as we have!

Cindy's card has wonderful texture and there is just something about the leaves in the Perpetual Calendar stamp set that make just the perfect scattering of leaves to create your own background paper. The main leaf image is from the bundle of Vintage Leaves with the Leaflet framelits. I think the double layer is so pretty.

When you open Cindy's card, you can see that the Woodland embossed piece is actually the inside panel. You would write your sentiments on the left inside panel . . . a nice and different twist. The sentiment is from the stamp set called For All Things.

Dawn's card is great because you can make up a bunch ahead of time, but leave off the wooden embellishment until it's time to give a card. Then you would just pick out the wooden embellishment that you want to use and presto . . . a personalized card of "thanks," or "congrats," or "celebrate!" I love this design and this idea. She used the stamp set called Lovely as a Tree and did some sponging for color.

Faith made a Square Pillow Box and filled it with Fall Treats that taste delicious with coffee! (ask me how I know ... lol!) She decorated the front of her pillow box images from the stamp set called For All Things.

The backside of her box is also stamped with a fall images from Happy Scenes. I thought it quite clever to decorate the back side of the box, too. The pillow box was created with the Pillow Box Thinlit Dies that debuted in the Holiday 2015 Catalog.

Josie's card uses a technique called Joseph's Coat . . . and how perfect it is for showing off fall leaves! She used images from Vintage Leaves and the sentiment is from Watercolor Words. What a great card from one of our newer demonstrators in our group!

Mary's card is a collage of crispiness! I can just about hear those leaves go crunch against the Woodland embossing folder! She used the bundle called Acorny Thank You with the coordinating Acorn Builder Punch. The leaves are from Lighthearted Leaves and cut out with the Leaflet Framelits. The accents are created with a Chalk Marker.

Mychelle's card showcases the bundle that includes the stamp set called Among the Branches that can be purchased with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I love the drift of leaves and the bold Autumn Wishes sentiment makes a great focal point on this card.

Marlys used a stamp set called An Open Heart. I love how she used various markers to color the directly onto the rubber before stamping it onto her Very Vanilla panel. This is done before running it through the Big Shot Machine with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. So pretty! The bird is cut out by hand and popped up on dimensionals.

Marcy's card uses Sheltering Tree and I love the way the leaf image is also stamped behind the main image panel to give this card a 3-D look!  I also love that the banner has a bit of dimension, too, with the second card stock color added in at the tail end. Details like these makes you cherish those hand made cards you receive.

And this is the card I made for the Stamping to Share Downline Swap. If you would like to see the how to video and my blog post for this card just click on Vintage Leaves with Bohemian Designer Series Paper.

Have a great weekend. I feel like this might be the last weekend where we actually still have some leaves on some of the trees out my window. One good windy day and I think they will be gone. I'd like six more weeks of fall, please!! But alas . . . it's already Halloween! Wishing you many treats and NO Tricks!!

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

New Packaging with Photopolymer Stamps - New Storage Tips for You with Video!

Beginning in the Fall of 2015, Stampin' Up! changed the way they are packaging their Photopolymer stamp sets. They now have a lightweight top sheet that is actually meant to be discarded. However, this change meant that I needed to change the way I store my photopolymer stamps since in the past, I used the top sheet as my anchor sheet on stamp cases and stored my stamps directly on this sheet. If you are interested, I created a new video to share the way I am now storing my photopolymers. I hope that you will find it helpful as we transition into this new style of packaging.

As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Stampin' Up! had a Paper Pumpkin campaign to make a difference. We received bright pink boxes in November and the most beautiful stamp set that was so much fun to create with. I thought I would share a couple of pictures and information about how you can join Paper Pumpkin and "skip to the fun."

Here's my bright pink box just opened up. I love how our kits come wrapped in tissue . . . it's details like these that make Stampin' Up! such a fun company to be a part of.

This kit contained nine cards, three of each size along with a 13 piece stamp set! I just can't get over the value that you get in these kits!! What a fabulous deal for only $19.95 a month.
